DIFFICULT 8.4 mi. The PPL Montour Preserve is a wildlife area encompassing fishing, boating and picnic areas, and 15 miles of walking trails, along with a Visitor Information Centre. Hess Field / Robbins Trail Park. Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle Loop Trail. However, the park is very nice and clean and trails that aren't handicapped accessible are very clearly marked. EASY 5.0 mi. They are pretty well marked and there are some very challenging climbs.Go with someone who knows the trails. Visited on advice..trails are not marked well. all obstacles can be avoided and some scree can it slippery. Difficulty . One of the top spots in Pennsylvania.Nice set of trails....it is set up like a ski resort where the gravel/dirt road is your "lift" and the trails all snake down the mountain back to the "lift"....just ride up the road and pick a trail to go down....just keep in mind what valley you are dropping into....some of the trails off to the right will not come back to the start point....be aware of your travels and enjoy the hill climb up the road.....the down hills are so worth it....I would recommend pads and a helmet if you are really going to push it down the hills...its a bit Rocky This park is good for walking, but I wouldn't recommend it for long distance running or biking due to the shorter length of the trails.
